Volunteer Spotlight: Nicole Loeffler

Band Together was a natural fit for volunteer Nicole Loeffler. One of Band Together’s founding members is a partner at her law firm, and was the one who encouraged her to volunteer. When Nicole started volunteering with the Silent Auction committee in 2010, Band Together was organizing the Silent Auction without the help of an outside vendor. Her attention to detail and organization has been a benefit as she has kept track of bidders and donated items during the Main Event.  She now works on alcohol and liability - a subset of the VIP committee - which she says is “probably a more obvious fit for a lawyer.” She has also helped with fundraising events, attended Socials and participated in Roadies events.

Nicole told us, “There are two reasons that I am passionate about BT. I know of no other organization that has so successfully impacted a wide variety of charities in our local community. And, I have met fantastic people who genuinely want to help others and have been exposed to local charities that I might not otherwise have gotten to know.”  She is humbled by the impact BT has on the community, and says “my involvement keeps my stresses in perspective.”

As a lawyer, Nicole recognizes how her work and advice can impact and affect her clients, and sees BT as “another way of doing what I already do on a daily basis.”  Of volunteering with BT, she says, “I am working with a group of people that I might not otherwise meet, impacting parts of the community that might not otherwise need my services, and we are affecting change together.”
