JJ Grey & Mofro and The 502s to take the stage at Band Together’s 25th Anniversary Mighty Giveback Concert
Raleigh, NC — Band Together announces the 2026 Mighty Giveback concert on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Lincoln Theatre Outdoor Stage. This milestone event marks 25 years of impact and a continued commitment to creating Infinite Good across the region.
Headlined by Southern soul powerhouse JJ Grey & Mofro, with high-energy indie folk favorites The 502s, the 2026 concert carries forward Band Together’s legacy of pairing nationally recognized artists with meaningful local impact.
Proceeds from the Mighty Giveback concert support Band Together’s 2026 Impact Partners across two key areas, Music and Community. Our music impact partner is The Raleigh Music Collective, empowering youth with music education. Our community impact partners are Oak City Cares, who connect people experiencing homelessness to services and care, and PORCH Communities, who create sustainable neighborhood-based hunger relief programs.
“For 25 years, this community has shown what’s possible when people come together around music and purpose,” said Thorne Daubenspeck, Executive Director of Band Together. “That momentum doesn’t stop here. It builds, grows, and reaches further. That’s what Infinite Good looks like.”
Since its founding in 2001, Band Together has collectively raised more than $15.4 million for local nonprofits, supporting over 160 organizations and engaging tens of thousands of fans through live music experiences that turn connection into impact. The organization has produced more than 40 shows featuring over 110 acts and, in 2026, aims to impact more than 20,000 people across the community through funds raised.
The 2026 Mighty Giveback – the Southeast’s largest annual benefit concert – will feature incredible live performances, a vibrant outdoor concert experience in downtown Raleigh, an all-inclusive VIP experience, and opportunities for attendees to support local nonprofits through tickets, sponsorships, and on-site fundraising.

RMC has grown from an initial 12 violin students in 2019 to serving 223 violinists, violists, cellists, and bassists in 2025 across all program elements.
About Oak City CaresOak City Caresconnects people experiencing homelessness to housing, healthcare, and critical mental health support through a coordinated, one-stop resource hub. They host over 30 onsite partner providers in a variety of homeless care services to serve as a “one-stop-shop” for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
About PORCH CommunitiesPORCH Communities is a grassroots nonprofit uniting thousands of volunteers to collect food from porches each month, creating a reliable supply for local pantries. PORCH has 75 chapters in 15 states, with more than 1,000 volunteers helping fill the shelves each month at more than 200 local pantries.
